Cub
River Canyon Guest Ranch is located next to the beautiful Cache National
Forest, just 9 miles up Cub River Canyon, near the town of Preston,
in the Southeastern corner of Idaho. Preston is only 2 hours north of
Salt Lake City, Utah and 1½ hours south of Pocatello, Idaho, on Hwy
91.

area. To get driving directions go to our
Google Map and right click on our marker and choose "Get
directions to here". Then find your address, right click and
choose "Get directions from here". Google will draw the route
and give you driving directions that you can print out.

Traveling from
the South or East
- Follow Interstate 15 north to Brigham City,
Utah, taking the Logan exit.
- After arriving in Logan, you travel north,
following Highway 91.
- Approximately 3 miles after you enter Idaho, you will
see a brown Forest/Recreational sign which reads: Cub
River/Deer Cliff Recreation Area.
- Turn right onto Cub River Road, the Guest Ranch
is only 8.5 miles up the canyon.
- Watch for the overhead signs at Deer Cliff.
- Drive to the office which is in the Guest House to
register.
Traveling from
the North or West
- Follow Interstate 15, south from Pocatello, Idaho,
approximately 27 miles .
- Take the Downey or Logan Exit onto
Highway 91
- Continue traveling on through Preston (watch the
signs directing you towards Logan).
- Approximately 3 miles after leaving Preston, you will
see a brown Forest/Recreational sign which reads: Cub
River/Deer Cliff Recreation Area
- Turn left onto Cub River Road, the Guest Ranch
is only 8.5 miles up the canyon.
- Watch for the overhead signs at Deer Cliff.
- Drive to the office which is in the Guest House to
register.
Shuttle service is available from Salt Lake City, Utah or Pocatello,
Idaho for a nominal fee. Call for company names that provide this service.
